I figured out what I meant when I was reading the 2011 Baseball America&#039;s Prospect Handbook: &quot;The Giants made Wheeler the sixth overall pick in the 2009 draft, the highest they&#039;ve taken a pitcher since selecting Jason Grilli at No. 4 in 1997, and signed him for $3.3 million.&quot; Looks like I just mis-worded my sentence.

I wrote this piece a long time ago, so I&#039;m not exactly sure if I worded that line wrong or what point I was actually trying to make. Either way, it was quite an oversight (and I promise you, I was aware of Lince, Cain, MadBum, and Alderson being drafted). I wish I could remember why Grilli was of importance...
